About Us

2016 07 10_5356.jpg

SING4FUN! was founded in January 2015 at Our Lady and all Saints Primary School in Parbold, Lancashire. It is the brainchild of Gill Louttit and Rita Dalton following their involvement and enjoyment of several other choirs.

Our vision was to develop a not-for-profit community singing group to benefit and enhance the local community. We wanted to help support local community groups, events and local nursing homes by offering our services to them.

SING4FUN! is open to everyone aged 18 and over. There's no need to read music and there are no auditions. Our members have mixed vocal abilities and everyone is welcome. We sing for fun and for the joy of singing! So if you like singing in the shower or in the car, we would love you to come and join us.

We regularly perform around the village at the Parbold Show, the Street Festival, the late night shopping event and lots of Christmas performances in and around the village.  We've performed at a couple of events in Appley Bridge and for Brandreth Lodge and Lindsay House nursing homes.  Our mission is to be involved in the village and the wider community as much as possible.

Your first "taster" session is free, so that you can have an opportunity to see if you like us. Our subscription is £4.00 a week or £3.00 for concessions. Unemployed people can come to the group for free. We per rehearsal simply to cover our overheads for running SING4FUN!
